Clearly, the entire organization that used to be Marty Lamb's campaign has followed along in its current zombie state.
It was always clear that Carolyn required a well-conceived proposal. The Republican Minority Leader could have provided one, but he didn't even bother to walk down the hall to find out what infrastructure was available on Beacon Hill.
Carolyn did that responsible bit of representation, for this act of good government, she's once again set upon by a nasty smear campaign run by a bunch of people who are too thick to learn from a 22-point landslide.
They'll probably give Marty Lamb more of their money, but he's a classic bad investment. That won't stop them from inflicting years of their ignorant ill-temper on the rest of us.
We should all identify them as not worthy of listening to. View Comment
Hilarious!
Looks as though I struck a nerve. If I said I was sorry it stung, I'd be telling my first lie of all this nonsense. Too bad the Lamb people can't make that claim. View Comment
So, "Napolitano", prove who you are by signing on with Facebook. You're Desiree - who else would be up at 2:27 am?
It's amazing to me that you and the rest of the Marty Lamb zombie campaign (it eats brainz!) want to inflict your special brand of distorted attacks on the voters who so soundly thrashed you in November. You think that's going to make you popular? I'd say you'll lose by even more next time.
The standing rules of the House can't be debated again, but additional legislation to start the process of building the transparency can be. Despite what Holly Robichaud - genius creator of the shake, rattle, and oh-I-forgot-to-mention-Marty mailer - may tell you.
Yeah, I know, you Teapublicans don't really want transparency nearly so much as you want electoral nontroversies by which to try to get empty suits like Marty elected. By the way, I hear that he's back at Tea Party rallies after spending 2012 claiming to be practically an independent, he was supposedly so moderate. Care to confirm or deny that? View Comment
"She only filed one piece of legislation in the past 5 years, and the chances of this transparency bill going anywhere is none."
This is simply a complete falsehood, par for the course for Marty Lamb's campaign, now a zombie campaign, but still eating the brainz of his supporters.
K Napolitano, by the way, is one of the dozens of aliases of Lamb's campaign manager, Desiree Awiszio. View Comment
I see the postmark vigilantes ride again!
What a completely silly non-troversy to hang your campaign on. That's Marty Lamb and his campaign manager for you. That's how they've campaigned from the start. View Comment
Dan Haley knows both Marty Lamb and Carolyn Dykema. He's a well-connected Republican who worked for Mitt Romney when he was Governor.
Haley is well enough connected to catch Marty lying to his face about the noxious senior picnic complaint that Lamb's political consultant laundered through the Mass GOP. Haley could keep quiet, which no doubt would be better for him politically, but he has not. I'd be insulted by Lamb's bald-faced lie if I were Dan's shoes.
Knowing the character of both candidates, Dan Haley openly chooses Carolyn Dykema. That says a lot. View Comment
Family daycares that serve kids with state vouchers are the only daycares affected. Even they are not forced to join a union.
Yet the Lamb brigade constantly pushes that lie. Why? Their candidate is responsible for it, and that's who he is in public life. View Comment
Wow, the nonsense just keeps coming from the Lamb brigade.
It's a bald-faced lie that unions have donated to Carolyn's campaign. I've looked at all her campaign finance reports (they're on line), and "Napolitano" is simply making it up - no surprise, really, for such an ugly campaign.
It's a bald-faced lie that the SEIU has sent out a mailer. The MTA sends postcards, as it has the Constitutional right to do. These are not coordinated with Carolyn's campaign.
Rep. Dykema's voting record is fair game (of course it is, and I never said it wasn't). But the lying Lamb brigade has continued to distort it.
Carolyn's voting record is LESS partisan than every single Republican in the House. She opposed the Speakers top priority, casinos, and she has frequently made alliances with Republicans in both chambers to pass legislation that's good for the district.
Marty Lamb can't win without misinforming the voters. That's disgusting. View Comment
Oh, "Napolitano", what a silly comment. Really? Really, you think I ever tried to claim that Carolyn has never voted with the Speaker or with a union?
Of course, Carolyn votes in ways that make sense, and only extremists like you and Marty could ever think they're always wrong.
I don't think I can simplify this for you any further: Carolyn votes with the Speaker or with the unions when it makes sense but not when it doesn't make sense.
Marty? What does he even believe? He can't seem to stick to anything for more than one election. Independent, then Tea Party, then Republican, then independent - whichever way the wind blows, Marty blows. View Comment
Odd that "Napolitano" (actually Desiree Awiszio, Lamb's campaign manager) would claim I can't defend Carolyn's voting record, when that's exactly what I've been doing. Does Naps even try to make sense any more?
Carolyn Dykema is someone who succeeds, someone who builds alliances and relationships irrespective of party, someone who votes with the Speaker or with the unions when it makes sense but not when it doesn't make sense.
Carolyn is exactly the kind of person we need in elective office - a giver not a taker, focused on the needs of her district, successful, insightful, extremely accessible, and caring. View Comment
LOL. So much concern. Too bad it's insincere.
I truly wish Marty were running wherever you're registered to vote, Grant, but you're not a voter in the Eighth Middlesex.
Your insults toward Carolyn are, to put it mildly, childish. Take your own advice. View Comment
Who are you going to believe, someone whose identity is clear or a fake name that's probably another alias of Marty Lamb's campaign manager, Desiree Awiszio?
I've never to my knowledge had a comment removed from the Metrowest Daily. Desiree has been putting this lie out for a long time. It's still not true, although it's possible someone - probably her - has abused the Report Abuse button.
I have never made any extreme comments. I leave that to the Lamb brigade.
Marty Lamb wants us to do as he says, not as he does. He runs on fiscal responsibility, but he filed for bankruptcy because he failed to run his law firm well when times were good and ran up $226,000 in consumer credit. This is relevant, clearly, since he took a bailout that was charged to the rest of us. It's a matter of public record. And he's trying to run as a successful small business owner, when he's pretty much the opposite.
Marty publicly accused me of impugning his religion. This was a base lie on his part. I have never done so. Never.
You simply cannot trust Marty's campaign, and that's a good reason by itself to give your vote to Carolyn Dykema, who has integrity. View Comment
Marty, honest? Then why has he never restrained his campaign smear brigade from all the falsehoods it says about Carolyn Dykema?
Marty would be a bad candidate in any district - willing to change his convictions to win office, constantly negative, disengaged from his community until he started running for paid positions, and a failure at real estate law.
Carolyn? Respectful, a good listener, tuned into the district through well over a decade of service starting locally, amazingly positive for someone who has been under attack for nine months now, and a success (with an MBA, not another lawyer) in every business she's worked in, large or small.
We could not do better than to re-elect Carolyn Dykema. View Comment
A couple of the lame Lamb lies:
As readers who pay attention know, only family daycares who take state vouchers can unionize, and even those get to choose. There's no forced unionization, but the Lamb smear brigade has kept claiming that falsehood now for several months. They think they can fool you with it.
Over half the bills in the House pass with broad bipartisan consensus. Carolyn Dykema is part of that consensus, working with Democrats and Republicans alike. She in fact is less partisan in her votes than every single Republican Rep. View Comment
