Algonquin Students Excel At PSAT Test

NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. — Thirty-one Algonquin Regional High School students have been recognized for their performance in the National Merit Scholarship program, Superintendent Charles Gobron announced on Wednesday.

The students joined 1.5 million high school students across the country in taking the PSAT-NMSQT test in October 2011. Of those, about 34,000 earned letters of commendation for their performance, while about 16,000 were named semi-finalists and will compete for National Merit Scholarships this spring.

"I'm so pleased to see so many students here," Gobron said.
