Southborough Police Report Jump In OUI Arrests

SOUTHBOROUGH, Mass. — Southborough police are warning residents of an increase in drunk driving arrests in 2012.

According to a Jan. 17 post on its Facebook page, The Southborough Police Department made 81 OUI arrests in 2012. In 2011, police wrote, they only made 55 such arrests. That's a 47 percent jump from 2011 to 2012.

"Please do your part by always having a sober driver, reporting a possible drunk driver on the road and taking the keys away from a friend or family member who you feel may have had too much to drink," police wrote.
