SOUTHBOROUGH, Mass. — Southborough police arrested a Framingham woman early this morning for allegedly driving while under the influence of alcohol.

Police responded to a report of a motor vehicle accident in front of 30 Turnpike Road, Southborough, at about 4 a.m. Officers reported seeing a Mercedes GLK 350 smashed into a nearby rock wall. Soon, police said, the vehicle began to leak fluid that quickly caught on fire.

Police pulled the driver, Elisabeth Donaher of Livoli Road, Framingham, from the vehicle as the flames spread. Framingham police officers helped stopped traffic heading eastbound on Route 9 while Southborough firefighters extinguished the fire.

More photos of the fire are available on the Southborough Police Department Facebook page.
