To the editor,

I’m writing to express deep disappointment in state Rep. Carolyn Dykema. During a debate last October, Republican state Rep. candidate Marty Lamb criticized Dykema for voting against putting committee votes online. Even the moderator challenged her about voting against this common sense transparency reform. At that point in the debate, she said she would now support putting these votes online. That promise was very short lived.

In the third vote to happen this year, she voted against it again. This is a prime example of a politician saying anything to get elected and then doing the opposite on Beacon Hill.

Rep. Dykema has proven she is the ultimate Boston politician with no respect for the voters.

K Napolitano:

She filed a bill that will not turn into anything real. Under the House rules it is a matter previously considered and would be ruled out of order.

This is just a smoke screen. During the recent rules debate, she could have voted for 26 measures to create more transparency, but she did not.

She only filed one piece of legislation in the past 5 years, and the chances of this transparency bill going anywhere is none.

This is just for her own cover, and that won't work either. It's all spin by a politician who votes with the Speaker and wants to hide it.

K Napolitano:

Committee votes is not supposed to be law. It is the operating procedures in the House. The rules were debated 10 days ago. They will not come up again for another 2 years. This matter has been considered by the legislature and cannot be taken up again.

That's the indisputable fact. Ms. Dykema betrayed our trust.

Iron Mike:

My math may be off a day or so, but Dykema seems to have broken not just her PROMISE, but a land speed record for doing so, - just 75 days from Election Day to BROKEN PROMISE!

Lisa, I'm sorry you were disappointed. But then,...you had trusted her to keep her word. That was your first mistake - thinking that she is either honorable, - or that she cares about us 'little people'. Neither is true, as she has proven so many times.

As a Ma$$ Taxocrat, Mz. Dykema will always vote the way the $peaker tells her to. If you want 'transparency' - look out a window, - not into her votes.

They're in a world of their own down on Beacon Hill - and they think it's none of your business!

K Napolitano:

In Dykema's own words.....

She cannot be trusted. This is dishonest. She has no respect for voters, and she doesn't tell the truth !

She said during the Hopkinton debate last fall that it was a mistake to vote against putting these votes online. She said she would vote the other way if re-elected. Any teenager can do it.

Ms Dykema should never have been re-elected. This is the reason why. She says one thing and does another. She doesn't give a wit about promises to voters. They are empty words. All she cares about is being a Boston pol. She's part of the Beacon Hill gang that votes lock step with the Speaker from Winthrop. She doesn't give a wit about representing constituents in the district.
