LEOMINSTER, Mass. - Albert J. Santora, 85, of 326 Sterling Road, died Tuesday, October 9, 2012 in Leominster Hospital, after an illness.
He leaves his wife of 65 years, Theresa C. (Sigman) Santora; three sons: Daniel Santora of Leominster, Dennis J. Santora and his wife, Cheryl, of Oxford, and David H. Santora and his wife, Carol, of Kennebunk, ME; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Born in Quincy, the son of Guy and Carmele (Maglione) Santora, Albert was raised in Concord. He was a graduate of Concord High School and a US Navy Veteran of WWII.
For 13 years until its closing, Albert worked at the former Colonial Press of Clinton, and later at the Perkins School, Lancaster for several years. He then worked as a quality control supervisor at Data General Corp., Southborough, for 10 years until his retirement.
An antique car enthusiast, Albert enjoyed fishing and building model airplanes and ships, and in his younger years, coaching his sons’ Little League baseball team.
A true family man, he will forever be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Albert’s funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 11, 2012 at 11a.m. in the McNally & Watson Funeral Home, 304 Church St., Clinton. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, Lancaster. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a calling hour on Thursday morning, from 10 to 11 a.m., prior to the funeral service.
