SOUTHBOROUGH, Mass. — Southborough residents who wish to join the town's Ad Hoc Economic Development Committee have until Wednesday, Feb. 6 to apply.
Selectmen created the committee at their Jan. 22 meeting in response to news that the town faces shrinking tax revenues and increasing expenses in the coming years.
The committee will work with business owners to attract new businesses and find ways to broaden the tax base. It will work independently from the private Southborough Economic Development Team.
Those interested in joining the ad hoc committee should submit a cover letter and resume to Assistant Town Administrator Vanessa Hale at vhale@southboroughma.com, or by mail at the Southborough Town House, 17 Common St, Southborough, MA 01772.
