SOUTHBOROUGH, Mass. — The ban on outdoor evening activities in Southborough has been lifted thanks to Saturday's hard frost, the Board of Health announced Tuesday.
The board ruled on Sept. 12 that all town-owned properties had to close between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. because of the threat of mosquito-borne illnesses.
The board still recommends that residents use mosquito repellent in the evening and avoid areas where mosquitoes are likely to congregate.
Northborough has also lifted its restriction, meaning that all outdoor sports games that will be played at Algonquin can continue as originally scheduled.
