SOUTHBOROUGH, Mass. — Southborough author Diane Root will visit the Southborough Library on Nov. 29 with a simple message for young children: tell the truth.

Root will read from her new children's book, "Solomon Sire and the Fantastic Fib."  It's the story of a young mouse named Solomon who tells so many lies that they eventually take the form of a magical, ever-growing Fantastic Fib, which only he can stop.

Root, who began writing her "Solomon Sire" stories in 2010, markets her books as a way to teach young children about good behavior while also giving parents an easy conversation starter about character.

For more information about "Solomon Sire," visit the series website.

This event is aimed at children ages 4 to 6. No registration is required. For more information, call the Southborough Library at 508-485-5031.
