NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. — The Knox Trail Council will honor two residents, one each from Northborough and Southborough, at the Good Scout Award Dinner on Wednesday, Nov. 14.

Lisa Braccio, of Southborough, and C. Parker Swan III, of Northborough, will be recognized for their contributions to their communities.

Braccio, the founder of a grassroots effort to support service members serving abroad, helped gather volunteers to ship more than 7,200 care packages weighing more than 162,000 pounds.

Swan has been active in the Saint Rose of Lima parish, the Northborough Historical Society and Northborough Helping Hands Association. He also has been the Gazette Magic Santa for more than 20 years, and served as Northborough's Town Moderator for 33 years.

The dinner will be held at 6 p.m. at the Doubletree Hotel in Westborough. Proceeds will benefit scholarships, camping programs and other forms of training and materials for the youth in the community.
