SOUTHBOROUGH, Mass. — Local author Ali Hosseini will visit the Southborough Library Saturday to discuss his novel, The Lemon Grove.
The Lemon Grove is the story of two twin Iranian brothers, Behruz and Ruzbeh, who are in love with the same woman. Behruz eventually leaves for America, but he later returns to care for his brother, who fought in the Iran-Iraq War. The story follows Behruz's return to a devastated nation.
According to his biography on his website, Hosseini was born in Iran and came to the United States in the 1970s as a student. His books have won positive reviews from several outlets, including Publishers Weekly and Booklist Review. The magazine Marie Claire calls The Lemon Grove "the new Kite Runner" and writes that "It does for Iran what Khaled Hosseini’s best seller did for Afghanistan."
The event is scheduled for 2 p.m. and is open to the public. No registration is required.
