SOUTHBOROUGH, Mass. — Here's a quick look at what's going on in Southborough and the surrounding area this weekend.

Friday, Jan. 25

Girls' Varsity Basketball: 5:30 p.m. Algonquin will face Marlborough at Marlborough High School.

Varsity Swim Meet: 6 p.m. Algonquin will compete against Wachusett Regional, Westborough and Bromfield at the Atkinson Pool in Sudbury.

Boys' Varsity Basketball: 7 p.m. Algonquin will face Marlborough at Marlborough High School.

Anne of Green Gables: 7:30 p.m. Students at Trottier Middle School will perform Anne of Green Gables. Tickets are $5.

Scottish Fiddle Music: 8 p.m. The L’Abri Fellowship will host an evening of Scottish fiddle music at 49 Lynnbrook Rd. Performing will be Hanneke Cassel on fiddle, Mike Block on cello and Christopher Lewis on guitar. The event is free, but donations are accepted.

Saturday, Jan. 26

Varsity Wrestling: 9:30 a.m. Algonquin will face Methuen at Methuen High School.

Snowshoe Clinic: 10 a.m. The Southborough Open Land Foundation is hosting a snowshoe clinic at the Beals Preserve, along with Eastern Mountain Sports. The cost is $5 per person.

Varsity Gymnastics: 11 a.m. Algonquin will face Shrewsbury at Shrewsbury High School.

Girls' Varsity Ice Hockey: 2 p.m. Algonquin will face Shrewsbury at the DCU Center.

Anne of Green Gables: 3 p.m. If you missed Friday's performance, this is your last chance to see Anne of Green Gables performed by Trottier students. Tickets are $5.

Boys' Varsity Ice Hockey: 4 p.m. Algonquin will face Shrewsbury at the DCU Center.
