SOUTHBOROUGH, Mass. — Here's a quick look at what's going on in Southborough and the surrounding area this weekend.
Friday, Jan. 11
Boys' Varsity Basketball: 7 p.m. Algonquin will face Fitchburg at home.
Girls' Varsity Basketball: 7 p.m. Algonquin will face Fitchburg at Fitchburg High School.
Saturday, Jan. 12
Varsity Wrestling: 10 a.m. Algonquin will face Minnechaug Regional at Minnechaug Regional High School.
Learn To Be A Jedi: 10 a.m. Use the Force at Fay School, where a Jedi Master will teach children ages 3-8 how to become Jedis themselves. Click here to register.
Meditation Presentation: 2 p.m. The Southborough Library will host a meditation presentation by Allen Hughes, who will focus on the many benefits of meditation and allow participants to practice. No registration necessary.
Varsity Swim Meet: 6:30 p.m. Algonquin will face Bromfield at Swymfit in Boxboro.
Steeple Coffeehouse Shows: 7:30 p.m. Come see singer/songwriter Carolann Solebello and duo Lori Diamond and Fred Abatelli perform at the Steeple Coffeehouse. Click here for more information.
Boys' Varsity Ice Hockey: 8 p.m. Algonquin will face Leominster at the North Star Youth Forum in Westborough.
Sunday, Jan. 13
Interboro Band Winter Concert: 2 p.m. The Interboro Community Band will have its winter concert at Trottier Middle School, 49 Parkerville Road, Southborough. The band will perform a mix of traditional hymns along with contemporary music. Admission is free.
Varsity Swim Meet: 5 p.m. Algonquin will face Westborough at the Boroughs YMCA.
