SOUTHBOROUGH, Mass. — Here's a quick roundup of what's going on in Southborough and the surrounding area this weekend. Check out our Events page for even more things to do.

Friday, Dec. 7

Girls' Varsity Basketball: 5:30 p.m. The girls will kick off their season against Marlborough at home.

Boys' Varsity Basketball: 7 p.m. The boys will kick off their season against Marlborough at home.

Saturday, Dec. 8

Indoor Track Varsity Invitational: 9 a.m. Algonquin will compete with area high schools at Wachusett Regional High School.

Varsity Wrestling Tournament: 9 a.m. Algonquin will face King Philip Regional at King Philip Regional High School.

You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown: 1 p.m. Hopkinton dance studio Let's Sing! Dance! Act! will perform "You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown" and "Let's Season It With Love" at the Fay School's Harris Theater. Tickets are $18 for adults, $13 for seniors and $8 for children 12 and under.

Author Visit: 2 p.m. Local author Ali Hosseini will visit the Southborough Library Saturday to discuss his novel, The Lemon Grove. Click here for more information.

Varsity Swim Meet: 4:30 p.m. The team will face Northbridge at Whitins Community Center.

Girls' Varsity Ice Hockey: 8:30 p.m. Algonquin will play Wellesley at Wellesley High School.
