SOUTHBOROUGH, Mass. — Here's a look at some events in Southborough and the surrounding areas this weekend:
Friday, Sept. 28
- The Algonquin varsity golf team will play Leominster at Gardner Municipal Golf Course, 152 Eaton St., Gardner. Play begins at 3:30 p.m.
- Varsity field hockey will play Quabbin Regional at home at 4 p.m.
- Varsity football will play St. Peter-Marian at home at 4 p.m.
- Algonquin Regional High School will host its Homecoming Dance at 7 p.m.
- The Algonquin cheerleading squad will hold a car wash fundraiser at the Southborough Transfer Station from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Milestone Stables in Marlborough will be having an open house from noon to 3 p.m. The event will feature pony rides and a bake sale.
- The Algonquin boys' and girl's varsity soccer teams will play Shrewsbury at home. The boys will play at 2 p.m. The girls will play at 4 p.m.
